Is the UK becoming more reactionary because of it's ageing population?

Potentially, but aging is happening across Europe. I think it's the overwhelming, lasting effect of the Reagan/Thatcher revolution. Labour moved right, the press moved right due to billionaire ownership, and all that was left outside drull parliamentary politics was the nationalists to latch on to.

Even seeing how Corbyn was crucified in the media compared to Johnson having his slip ups covered shows how public perception is being shaped against leftward movement, leaving only the tottering game between Conservatives and UKIP/Britain Firsters.

Had the aged population done their fiduciary duty and observed the planet is NOT owned by them but held  "in trust" 2008 wouldn't have occurred!

Well if those "aging darlings" voted to ensure chaos, and now find there's no money as such to squander on them they're going to aggressively hang on to want they have spent decades squirrelling.

They own houses! Bearing no close relationship with the state of wages paid for the majority! They own shares! Which either devastate the planet (holidays! Arms manufacturers, flogging over priced toys, underwritten by government war mongering.)

They shriek about how their houses are worth millions!

ARE houses for living in or hoarding?

They've final salary pensions, the kind now only on offer for the over privileged board of directors!

    They've savings!

    But they're still dissatisfied!
