If an astronaut in outer space says "im homesick, i just want to go home GET ME OFF!" is the entire mission instantly aborted for his safety?
(for his safety and the safety of the other astronauts on the ship)

No. If he OR She tried to sabotage the vessel or the mission they are restrained and confined. ALL astronauts and cosmonauts are psychologically evaluated periodically. Undoubtedly things HAVE happened in space that governments cover up and spin if there are any leaks.

One of the crews on Skylab went on strike and refused to do any work for twenty four hours.
Needless to say, none of them ever flew another mission.
In any case, you have to ask, why the f are we still sending astronauts up into space when we now have efficient, effective robots that can do the job for a fraction of the cost, and never get homesick. It's called the advance of technology.

Even people on Antarctic bases who suddenly decide they want to go home usually don't get to go right away.
