Where in the Bible does it say we’re not supposed to eat meat on Friday’s? ?

Not being a wise guy, just wondering if it says anything about not eating meat on Fridays.

There is no such restriction in the Bible.  It is a tradition from the Catholic church

It is explained in official Catholic theology as being a form of abstinence.  Abstinence is a form of asceticism, the practice of self-denial to grow in holiness.  Because Christ offered his flesh as a sacrifice on a Friday, the Catholics refrain from eating flesh meat on Fridays.

Note that the Catholic church no longer requires that you not eat meat on Friday except during Lent.

It isn't a Biblical thing.  It's imposed by the Roman Catholic church, and who knows, maybe God guided them to do this.  But in fact, Bibical principles do entail that one should rarely or never eat meat in today's society because of the fact that it takes food away from the poor.

it is not what goes into humans mouths that is offensive but what comes out of humans mouths.  If you find anything about what humans should not eat it isn't because it is a sin it is because it is not good for human consumption.  Religions made it a sin, because they like to keep humans under their thumb so started making rules and laws that have nothing to do with God.

It doesn't. That was a rule the original Christian Church created, to help its members live the virtue of self-denial and self-control. That rule has since been relaxed, and is no longer required, though self control and self denial are still encouraged. Since you apparently think that we are to do only what the Bible says, where in the Bible is that idea taught? Where does the Bible claim to be our only source of truth? And what did Christians do for the first three and a half centuries, when the Bible did not yet exist?

    Nowhere.

But it does say, ...Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth... is giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.

It doesn't.  That's an Orthodox Christian and Catholic Christian tradition.

The early Church began the practice of fasting or abstaining from meats on Fridays because it was the day Christ was crucified. The Lenten fasts and abstinance are rules designed to imitate Christs 40 day fast in the wilderness. There is no single verse that tells us we can't eat meat on Fridays, but there is extensive scriptures, in both OT and NT declaring fasting for religious reasons is a good thing to do. The Church simply codified which days were fasts and abstinance.

    Nowhere. Thats a catholic concoction.

The devil wants you to believe him and not God, as he deceived Eve in Eden.
