Why do people think there wasn't white people in the middle east thousands of years ago?
there's a possibility that Jesus could have been white just as much of a possibility that he could have been black or brown. the first person with blue eyes lived thousands of years before christs birth in the middle east by the black sea and everyone with blue eyes is related to that individual today.
I didn;t say jesus had blue eyes though just that there is a possibility that he was light skinned

Its unlikely. Jesus was of a Jewish mother and lived amoungst people like her. When God placed Jesus within Mary's egg Jesus would have gained many of the physical characteristics of her.
It doesn't matter what Jesus looked like in the mortal flesh, it just matters that he came, taught, lived as example, and then died so that we would not have to.

Races have never existed.

This is what some think: All blue-eyed people may have a common ancestor. It appears that a genetic mutation in a single individual in Europe 6,000 to 10,000 years ago led to the development of blue eyes, according to researchers at the University of Copenhagen. Most Jews had darker skin and the Muslims are cousins to the Jews when it comes to heritage. Today many have converted to the Jewish faith there are all kinds of color eyes in the Jewish faith. It doesn't really matter what color the eyes of Jesus were in the first century what really matters is he really did exist and all he did for humanity to give them hope for more than one life only.

"Jesus could have been white just as much of a possibility that he could have been black or brown." That is patiently false. It is possible he was an albino with red eyes, but the law of probabilities tell us he most likely shared the same physical characteristics of the people of his ethnicity living in the region at the time.
The European christian Artists that created images of christ have created this false perception which white supremacists now hold onto as a fact. Jesus, if he existed, was a first century jew from Palestine.

Very unlikely there were originally white skin people in the Mid-east 2,000 ago. BTW, Israel was a country long before that NT was written. Later there was a civil war and Israel was split N and S; Israel, and Judea. Later the Judeans by way of war took over the Israeli lands and it all became Judea. Israel was reinvented in 1947, but with a very different looking bunch of Jewish people who came from European countries.
BTW, who are those white supremacists which are referred to in one answer? Don't tell me, I know you have to be a demorat.
OHBS! "my grandfather had blue eyes and he was black." Then your grandfather would have been part Caucasian.
BTW, many persons have curly hair, and in the bible in Rev a man which the writer is trying to claim is Jesus states, man with hair white like wool, and mentions his shiny shoes. That would be a Roman soldier with shoes having brass covered toe and highly shined. That was a Roman, and also a very old man.

You know where the Caucasus mountains are, right? That is the region Caucasians are named for.
I think we can assume most Hebrews were not Black, because when Moses married Zipporah, a Cushite [Ethiopian or Black person] his sister was annoyed. Now in the Book of Acts, New Testament, disciples talked to an Ethiopian and baptized him. This Ethiopian was a God-fearer, he read the Bible and followed Jewish moral laws if not ritual laws. So It's pretty clear there were Black people in the area.
Before that, remember Solomon was visited by the Queen of Sheba, an Ethiopian, and at least according to legend she had a son by him and indeed there ended up being a lot of Jewish Ethiopians. Like the one they baptized.
In short, you are right, there was a variety of racial groups in the region.

The long scientific hint will be the variations in human skin color are adaptive traits that correlate closely with geography and the sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation. ... Melanin, the skin's brown pigment, is a natural sunscreen that protects tropical peoples from the many harmful effects of ultraviolet... the short hint will be the sun... but people need fantasies
