There are two aspects to the California fires that need to be kept separate:

1) Starting the fires;

2) Perpetuating and transmitting the fires.

Transmission is interesting because you would normally expect a forest fire to burn the forest. Makes sense? Strangely, in California, the fires tend to burn down houses and leave the trees in tact. It is almost as if someone or something is targetting the houses on purpose.

Starting the fires is often down to arsonists. Sometimes it has been power line failures. Global Warming, by itself will not cause fires. You can put a log into an oven (200°C/400°F) and it will not catch fire.

Fires will transmit more easily if the space between the trees is filled with combustible material. That is even more important if the trees themselves do not catch fire (?!?).

What you need to do is compare the official explanation with what you can see with your own eyes. For instance, how did a forest fire burn just half a house or why does it skip all the trees. Go and look at some pictures and see what you think.

I live in California and it's getting confusing listening to all the reasons we're having fires. I wish they'd make up their mind. Of course climate change is never considered because they'd have to learn science.
