A fuel train carrying gas & petroleum exploded in TX.  Hey Greenies, isn't there a safer way to transport liquid fuels?  Maybe a pipeline?

Not so spectacular but the existing Keystone Pipeline leaked 380,000 gallons of oil in 2019 and 210,000 gallons in 2017, causing ecological damage.

    This:

    https://eaglefordshale.com/efs-news/more-texas-pip...

shows the map of pipelines in Texas.

Notice how precious little area of Texas is not already connected.

    This therefore shows:

1- how full of $hit you are

2- how irrelevant your claim is

3- how massively ignorant you are

4- how futile adding pipelines would be

Fuel train comes through several times an hour, but no passenger train.

Pipelines have proven to be much safer and more economical than train or tanker truck.   The decision to shut down an economical and safer pipeline is political, not practical.

That is what both of Obama's environmental impact studies concluded about pipelines, they are a lot safer and better for the enviroment.

Many actually believe that the nation can function "just fine" without petroleum.

That makes a belief un Unicorns seem plausible by comparison.

Because pipelines have never caused any harm.

Source(s): I'm not even opposed to the Keystone pipeline, but this is about the worst possible argument you could make for it.

Truck and trailer is obviously the best way. It creates jobs for the teamsters Union.
