whats the best basic movie maker?
I don't need anything advanced. All i need is a few visual & audio effects, transitions and i'm good for small projects.
I've been using Sony movie studio for over a decade and its time for a change.
Please don't say windows movie maker.

Most the moderately successful YouTube stars such as Roman Atwood, Matt from DemolitionRanch, Alex Mandel (Howie Mandel's kid) + Casey Neistat + Linus Tech Tips were all using either Adobe Premiere or Vegas Pro as far as I know a few years ago.... maybe also Apple's iMovie software.
Quite a few people (both small YouTubers + big TV/Movie studios) have apparently been moving over to one called DaVinci Resolve, which is free.

Corel VideoStudio is also capable of putting in a respectable performance for basic stuff (I still use an older version), which is available in "Pro" + "Ultimate" versions... as well as either on it's own or bundled with Corel Paintshop Pro.
