Is it illegal to use the dark web to get hold of extremely rare/hard to get hold of video games ?

I should be clear in what i'm asking

Is it okay to SHOP on the dark web to buy extremely rare / hard to get video games ?

Update 2:

More importantly is it safe ? Would you take a chance of putting in your card details on a website that was on the dark web ?

    No it would not be illegal to use the dark web to get hold of extremely rare games unless of course you're doing so by stealing them. As in copyright infringement.

    The dark web is not illegal in and of itself it's what you do on it.
