Write at least 2 sentences to explain two reasons why the Industrial Revolution started in New England. ?

The Industrial Revolution began in England in the late 1700s. By the 1820s, factories and industry had arrived in America. The first factories began in the New England region here in the United States. (New England is the Northeastern US- states like Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.)

    New England had numerous creeks and rivers all with the potential for water-power.  Samuel Slater brought knowledge of cotton-spinning from England to Rhode Island and started a textile mill.
