Do people in the UK and Europe pay as much attention to the stock markets as people in the USA do? why?

do many more people in the USA also invest /trade in the stock market compared to people in the UK and Europe? why, how compared? when became this way? why the difference maybe?

Update:

WHAT DO THEY THINK ABOUT THE STOCK MARKETS CONTINUE TO RALLY WHEN WE ARE CLEARLY HEADING FOR A GLOBAL ECONOMIC DEPRESSION? IS IT IN THE NEWS THERE IN THE UK AND EUROPE?

your post highlights the problem with capitalism

stockmarkets are a capitalist scam, a ponzi scheme that no one dares correct.

    why ?.

-no one likes to lose money, ask any home owner about property values.

    -acknowledging the failures of capitalism

-checks and balances would wipe $trillions / $billions from pension portfolios

Bernard Lawrence Madoff was an honest man compared to many of those past and present who work in the stock markets, capitalist hypocrisy at its best

Some do, it depends on their circumstances, pension pots, investments

     etc.

Some do. For many people the performance of the stock market affects their pensions.
