I have a small brown inky patch in my peripheral vision.?

I'm 15, non-diabetic and have no known eye issues except for a bit of astigmatism. This morning, I noticed a brown patch in the right corner of my peripheral vision in my right eye. Is this anything to be concerned about? What can I do?

My parents are telling me it's nothing or possibly a migraine
