Is it right that a fb business page is ignoring me for having a private account?

I was trying to contact this company on Facebook to request balloons for my birthday, I sent them questions and inquiries for days and they were ignoring me, I never received any answer. So, I decided to leave them a negative feedback and I got a response and they said they were were ignoring people with hidden identity and no personal information who seems to be dummy accounts. Due to privacy concerns, I aways keep my facebook private, even using my cat as my profile pic. Was it right?
