If you are naming your child use the spelling you prefer, just make sure its the one with the correct pronunciation or you are setting your child up for needless difficulties down the road.

What ever happened to names like Sally and Fred. Easy to spell so the kid can get on with other things in kindergarten, and easy for potential friends and business  people to remember in their future adulthood.
