Who is the greatest threat to Christians/Christianity these days?

The greatest threat is and always has been those who would corrupt the gospel of Jesus Christ with a false message of works for salvation (Gal. 1:6-9). The vast majority of people within Christendom are deceived because they are trusting in Jesus PLUS their works to get to heaven. This message will lead a person straight to hell (Matt. 7:21-23).

Because we have all sinned against a perfectly holy and righteous God, we all deserve eternal separation from God in hell (Rom. 6:23). However, God loves us so much that He sent His only Son Jesus to die on the cross as our Substitute so we don't have to go to hell. Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the grave three days later (1 Cor. 15:3-4). He gives eternal life freely to anyone who simply believes in Him for it. No one can be saved by doing good works. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone (Eph. 2:8-9).

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life" (John 6:47).

Truth has always been the greatest threat to Christianity because it is based on lies.

Today's Christians who drank the Kool Aid served by their "Mother of Harlots" (Revelation 17:5) the LYING pedophile (((ROME))) ***MAN*** MADE catholic so called 'church.'

Who have JESUS LYING in Ephesians 4:5 (Galatians 1:12) saying "one baptism" but alleges to command another (Acts 1:5; John 1:33) in Matthew 28:19 and taught other Scriptures to mean water baptism when Jesus does the "one baptism" (Ephesians 4:5) "baptizing with the Holy Ghost" (John 1:33) who are water baptizing each other "Worshiping with men's hands" (Acts 17:25).

Eating His body and drinking His blood "Worshiping with men's hands" (Acts 17:25) when we "eat Spiritual meat and drink" (I Corinthians 10:3-4).

Serving a "3 in 1 god" called a trinity (Daniel 4:35; I Corinthians 12:6) defining GOD as "3 persons" and have "Changed the glory of the uncorruptible GOD into an image made like to corruptible man" (Romans 1:23).

The biggest threat to Christianity is Christians... specifically, extremist Christians.  For example, the Westboro Baptist Church likely caused more people to leave Christianity than all atheist writers/speakers (Dawkins, Hitchens, Harris, etc.) combined.

[Edit] After extremism, education is highly detrimental to religion.  Religion thrives in illiterate and uneducated populations.

Education and easy access to facts via the internet.

This is the greatest threat to all religions, not just Christianity.

Nobody.  The truth cannot be stopped.  Death leads to immediate heaven or hell, and it is too late to be saved, after death.  To be in heaven and not hell, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is God and who died on the cross and shed His blood to pay for all of our sins in full, and who was buried, and who resurrected from the dead.  The only way to avoid hell is by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, without adding any of your own works.  See Romans 4:5, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, and John 3:16.

Anonymous -- So you're threatened by all the highly-educated Christians.  Sad.
