R&P- a song you enjoy where the subject is reminiscing about what could have been or about what attracted them to a previous lover?
Looking for something genuine and personal here. Lemme know if you need an example.
Thanks guys. It's killing me that we still cant leave comments.

This question has made me realize that a lot of the songs I listen to are not about love, at least not in a positive way.
I thought of two songs. The first one I love, but it only sort of fits. It's more negative and bitter than what I think you're looking for, but it definitely seems genuine and personal. Move Me by Badflower:
This next one is another that comes more from my parents' music taste. I think this one is probably a better answer to the question. Is it possible to like and dislike a song at the same time? Because that's how I feel about this one: Could've Been Me by Billy Ray Cyrus
Update: I think I'm going to have to remove my links because I'm editing my answer. I would definitely like at least one example. I enjoying listening to your selections and having new bands/songs to listen to :-)

I wish I had a time machine to go back in time and play this song for this one particular girl. It literally was like in this song, I completly froze up and stopped breathing whenever she was around. I've never experienced that same thing before or after that, not like that.
I never told her how I felt about her, and that is something I will regret for the rest of my life. I don't think it would have changed anything really, but then at least I would have known...

You're Beautiful by James Blunt ("And I don't think that I'll see her again, But we shared a moment that will last 'till the end").
