why did Trump never make the Federal law enforcement agencies go after the EMPLOYERS of illegal aliens?
no need for "rounding them up" and putting them in ICE detainment camps, no need to build a multi trillion dollar wall along the border of Mexico, all he had to do was make sure the EMPLOYERS were punished for breaking the current federal laws and fining them heavily or even pulling their business licenses. he would not even have had to pass any new laws through Congress, just enforce the ones already there

Trump (and to be fair to all - his predecessors as well) did in fact go after employers of illegal aliens. I-9 audits by ICE and other immigration enforcement has increased over the past several years, particularly within 100 miles of a border where ICE has expanded authority.
However, it's not easy to catch everyone. There are a few reasons for this.
1) Most of the employers that knowingly hire illegal aliens are small. It's hard to go after every small farmer, restaurant owner, etc.
2) Most of the employers that employ illegal aliens, particularly any large employers, do so unknowingly. By that I mean the illegal employee has presented fake or fraudulent documents for their I-9 (using those of a legal relative is common). While an audit will typically reveal this, it's not the role of an employer to "play detective" or give their employees a hard time about their documents. If an employee presents documents that reasonably appear valid the employer must accept them. Not doing so opens them up to charges of discrimination.
For a crime to be committed, the employer has to have "constructive knowledge" that an employee is not authorized to work in the US.

Because Trump has so many working for him at Mar-A-Lago and Trump Tower. And so all of his friends.

"Round them up"? Sure, all 11 million of them. Surely you know what a small percentage of undocumented aliens are from Mexico, let alone crossed the border illegally, right? Most undocumented aliens entered legally and simply overstayed their visas, disappearing into the system, some obtaining SSNs and actually contributing -- others, not so much.
Yes, intentionally employing an undocumented alien is a federal felony. Simply BEING an undocumented alien is not a crime of any sort. It's only an administrative status violation.

Building a wall makes it look like he's doing something, when people like him are the problem, they hire illegals If he targeted the employers, he'd get arrested for all the illegals he under pays to work at his hotels and golf courses.

Because that would hurt his own business. Trump likes to use fear to gain support from people. The wall would have been a giant, very visual monument to his racism. He doesn’t actually want illegals to go away. He wants to make a giant spectacle that will scare people into following him.

1. then Trump would have to arrest himself
2. the employers give campaign donations to the GOP
