They both do, but just different. Orca spends more time near the surface finding prey with sonar where the sperm whale can go as deep as 6000 feet 'seeing' the floor with its sonar.

They have their own language and literally communicate with others in their pods with sonar,

Dolphin and Orca are not so different.
