Donald Jihad Trump is out of office and powerless, will NFL owners give Colin Kaepernick a chance to play without fear of retribution?

Trump isn't the only power source in the universe, so don't count on it.

Trump never told owners not to hire him. He carries too much "baggage" for owners and fans alike.

OMG I am laughing so hard at "Kap won more road playoff games", you can't WIN GAMES YOU DON'T PLAY. Montana and Young were so good that they didn't have to constantly go on the road in the playoffs. It's like Elway has more 4th quarter comebacks then Montana, yeah because Montana didn't need to come back. Oh and who was the first QB to LOSE the Super Bowl for the 49ers? Yeah that would be Kap, that's another thing he has over Montana and Young. Kap attracts a media circus that no team wants.

He's not out of office yet. Don't count your chickens and all that...
Kaepernick got himself kicked out of the NFL. By choosing the flag as the target of his protest, he naturally alienated anyone with strong patriotic feelings. He turned himself into a political hot potato. If he'd chosen a better way to protest, he wouldn't have created so many enemies.
Even so, two teams tried to give him a second chance in the NFL, PLUS the XFL sniffed around. Kaepernick doesn't want to play. All he had to do was give the Seahawks or Ravens assurance that he would just play and not start stuff. He refused. He made ridiculous contract demands of the XFL in order to ensure he wouldn't have to play.
"Why doesn't he want to play?" you might wonder. The answer is because Nike is paying him a ton of money right now to do NOTHING but be a symbol. If he comes back and plays badly (which he would after years away from the league), his martyr status evaporates and he probably loses the chance at a another payday like that. And he knows it. Simply put, NOT playing is more lucrative than playing. He needs to protect the idea that he's being blackballed.

He was sidelined before he started his attention grabbing stunts and politicizing the game. He had effectivly been replaced and that's why he started his kneeling and wearing his stupid socks. He wanted to stay in the camera and get the attention. He stopped being a team player. Why would any team want that introduced to their mix?

Nope. He isn't worth his asking price and We The People still won't support him.

No, trump being out of office isn't going to make Kaepernick a better QB.
