Which hotel chain is better? Novotel or Mercure?

They're both owned by Accorhotels.

    As they are both owned by Accor, they belong to the same HOTEL CHAIN. However they are different BRANDS within Novotel, aiming at different guests.

    Novotel is more modern, sporty and green; Mercure, which typically has smaller properties, is more about local atmosphere and charm.

    Novotel is generally a higher star rating than Mercure, i.e. has more facilities.
