    That’s exactly the same nonsense as asking whether the ground trembles with fear as a spade approaches it.

    black is often used on the hulls of cargo vessels because it is one of the cheapest colours to make that doesn't break down under ultra violet (the pigment is carbon)

    No,  it inspires a hot cabin on a summer afternoon.  That's why experienced boaters don't get black boats.

    No, but they are certainly hot when the sun shines on them.

    No. The hulls of a lot of ships are black.
