Need help identifying this bug?

Question

Praying this is not a cockroach. I came home from work early in the morning and found this disgusting critter on the on the floor. Squished it. If it is a cockroach any recommendations. I’ve never had to deal with any or had any in my lifetime. Kinda freaked out right now.

Yeah, it's a cockroach and a young one at that. This likely means that an egg case has hatched somewhere in your house and there are many more of these little guys lurking about. I would thoroughly spray the area you found it in to try to nip it in the bud. Pay attentions to drains and dark hidden places.
