does a beauty of the art always depend on it's quality/goodness?

    Hell no.  If you look at Goya's Saturn Devouring His Son you'll see a magnificent piece of art, but it was painted on the wall of his kitchen and the subject certainly isn't good.  Great art should move you.

    Not necessarily. VanGogh only sold one painting in his lifetime - no one thought it was any good when he painted it. And yet 3 out of the 10 highest priced pieces of art are VanGogh's... 

    I think what makes art "beautiful" is when the viewer's spirit is touched by the spirit of the artist, which transcends space and time.
