Which one, bud? There were four, and sort of a fifth if you consider the son of Ramessesnakht, the high priest of Amun at Thebes, who held quite a lot of autonomy in Upper Egypt as the pharaonic Ramessides in the north were on the wane.

In all likelihood Amenhotep III was born in the harem palace built by his great-grandfather Thutmose III at Mi-wer (modern Medinet Ghurob) in the Faiyum Oasis near Shedet-Krokodilopolis.
It was around 1411 BC during the 15th reign year of his grandfather Amenhotep II.
