There is a old movie where a politician was losing an election, so he took the ballot box and all the citizens chased him down and had a shootout. Anyone remember the name of that movie?

I don't know about old western, but there's an episode of The Dukes of Hazzard where Boss Hogg does that because he's losing the election to be reelected as mayor of Hazzard.
