Why do deniers construct straw people then argue with them?

Probably because they can't carry on any sort of a debate with actual persons, so they block the real persons and make phony claims about the straw men. What will happen with hurricanes has been a matter of debate in the climate community for years. There was actually a panel discussion on this very subject at the annual AMS meeting about a decade ago. Some people thought the numbers would increase, while others said no increase in number, just strength. It's still an open question.

It's amusing that Daro says "Facts dont bother liberals in any way." since he shows a plot that uses data from a source that says that data should not be used in the very way that Daro's plot uses it. He apparently doesn't care much about facts, either.

TWC (The Weather Channel) on cable mentions "Climate Change" linked with every uncomfortable weather or natural disaster that comes along. Their calling the liberal policy generated slight increase in "Wildfire damage" as "Climate fires".

Even Algore mentioned it in his "speeches".
