grading miscalculations?

My professor says that I have a 65 in the class, but when I calculate it, its 75%

can someone check it?

Mindtap Labs 38, 15% of grade

Group Assignments 50,20% of grade

Discussions 87, 20% of grade

Quizzes 96, 15% of grade

Major Exams 100, 20% of grade

Final Exam N/A, 15% of grade

Total is 65.

The final is 15% , but it has not been calculated yet.

Something's wrong, because the total comes out to 105%, not 100%. So that might be the problem. 

Going by the given numbers, you currently have a 67.5 in the class:

38 x 0.15  =   5.7

50 x 0.20  = 10.0

87 x 0.20  = 17.4

96 x 0.15  = 14.4

100 x 0.20 = 20.0

Total          = 67.5

It calculates to 67.5%, BUT everything to date adds up to 90% which means your final would bring the total to 105%.  So either your final or one of the grades is worth less.
