What situation would it be?

On an icy road (no friction, a car suffers a head-on collision with an identical vehicle going at the same speed, and come to rest in 0.1 seconds. Suppose instead that the car hits a rigid wall (essentially infinite mass), and again comes to rest in 0.1 seconds. From the point of the driver, which situation would give the least average force on him/her?

a) Doesn't matter, same average force in both cases.

b) Two-car crash.
