Why do most rural counties vote red while most urban counties vote blue? ?

I've noticed that some of the largest cities in the United States vote blue while the remaining counties of each respective state vote red.

The rural areas are MUCH more self reliant and don't want or need much from they're city, county, state or federal government(s) they prefer to provide for THEMSELVES and work hard to make they're OWN money, pay they're OWN bills, pay for they're OWN education and food ect. The more urban areas are where the people that want the government involved with and controlling they're lives and the lives of others around them. They WANT the government to provide them with EVERYTHING they need to survive with FREE housing, FREE food, FREE income, FREE medical, FREE college ect and are willing to sell they're souls, give up they're rights and have OTHERS pay exorbitant taxes for the GOVERNMENT to provide EVERYTHING to/for THEM as long as THEY don't have to pay for it or get off they're a55 and actually WORK to get it! The funny thing is the left keeps claiming the right or republicans ONLY care about the rich and or wealthy business owners yet the ULTRA wealthy and MASSIVE business owners ALL support the LEFT or demoCROOK PARTY!!! So you tell me who REALLY supports the uber wealthy and large business owners! It's for SURE is NOT the republicans!!

People in cities have more use for big government than those in rural places do. As just one example, when you rely on public transportation daily you see municipal government as friendly and it doesn't matter to you if the gas taxes are hiked up to where the rural folk who can't just catch a train can no longer afford to get around. Up until about George W. Bush the "red" side of the aisle was seen as wanting "small government" and fiscal restraint. The fact that the GOP has also been spending like drunken sailors for about two decades now may be part of the reason some of these rural counties are now purple or straight up "blue".

If you love the United States red votes are best because so many business have closed and you can kiss your IRA's goodbye now so many of you and a democratic arrangement at this time would bankrupt the country because of the welfare dime some would want who lost jobs.  Only a financial genius like Trump can help stabilize the economy somewhat and a democratic arrangement would never work at this time because fearing a repeat of black Tuesday and maybe it will get another day of the week but a recession is here and could turn into a depression very easy and not fun like black Friday.

Democrats live in highly populated areas because they like people. Republicans like to live where trees and mountains and buffalo outnumber the human beings. That's because republicans don't like people.

People in cities emphasize the concepts of community and shared responsibility. People in rural areas emphasize the concepts of self-reliance and individual responsibility.

The more education a person has, the more likely s/he is to be liberal. Educated people make up much of the population of many cities, where the better jobs are and where there's a vibrant culture.

Black people often live in cities, where there are greater job opportunities that pay better than anything they could get in a rural area.

Rural people don't need advanced education to excel at what they do.

    Some? Which one didn’t?

The Civil rights Bill from the 60’s promised the black vote for 200 years. LBJ is on tape proclaiming this. All the Republicans are pushing for is equal opportunity. Which if you look, is what this country has always offered.
