ordering from verge girl to UK?

I want to make an order from verge girl, an Australian brand but I am from England.  Has anyone done this? will I be charged import taxes?

yes. The duty will be collected -- either when you place the order, or by HM customs before you can receive it

Yes you will be charged tax and the figure could be substantial depending on the value of the item.  If it is not available in the UK, get a friend in Australia to take delivery.  Then friend can send it on to you as an 'unsolicited gift' ie a Christmas present.  Tell her to take all the tags off first.
