Do you think if the UK only had the same population as New Zealand (4.8 million) we could have eradicated coronavirus, in the same manner?

Probablt not. Ireland has roughly the same population as new zealand, but didnt do nearly as well with the virus. Having competent leadership makes a huge difference

Well the problem is that Boris Johnson is a well known idiot, and basically listened to business saying that everything should stay open, which meant of course more Coronavirus and a worse impact on business. 

Boris couldn't run a bath, he couldn't organise sex in a brothel, and if he was in charge of New Zealand, it probably would have already turned into Mordor.

NZ had strong effective leadership and took the measures required when they were required.  The UK sadly does not have either strong or effective leadership so prevaricated and fence sat so that when measures were imposed they were too late and too little.  Also the UK has a significant element who refuse logic and information, we call them Gammons.
