Does every town have someone named Jones and if so why?

I work with a lady who's last name is Jones, she lives in the same area that I do. But probably not all towns have some one named Jones. Jones is the second most common surname in Australia and England, and the fifth most common American surname.
It's kind of like the surname Smith or Brown, very common last names in North America.

What does this have to do with Hair.
I shouldn't think so, there are countries in the world where they've never heard the name Jones, unless they're a Renée Zellweger fan.
