By appearance, can you always tell a woman is Spanish versus American?

Spaniards can look exactly like Americans. If you're talking about latinas, no, you can't always tell their background. And what does this have to do with "Languages"?

Do you mean Latina? "Spanish" means they come from Spain. Latino/Latina people come from Central or South America. It's usually apparent, because their skin is darker. But I wouldn't know someone's nationality – if a white person is American or not – just because their skin is white. They could come from a European or Slavic country, or from Australia, Canada, or New Zealand, or South Africa. Or if you live in California, you know their heritage by the flag affixed to the their car.
