Is it possible to find a place to live within less than a week as a student in the UK?
Im looking to move to the south in the uk for a new job and am wondering if this could be possible in a week? It would be already furnished so I wouldn't need to take much stuff.

Its possible, if the apartment is just sitting there vacant, but if the apartment is just sitting there vacant then the likelyhood is that there is something wrong with it (like the rent is to high).
I suggest you go ahead down there and look around and put in an application or 2 if you find something really good, but expect that you might be living out of a motel (or extended stay lodge if you have those in the UK) until you are able to move into something more permanent.

Rent a motel for a week and look for a place.

Technically; but unlikely. You not only need to find somewhere, but complete paperwork, any credit checks required etc.
Also; if you're moving for work, are you also a student? Is this relevant? Are you looking for student accommodation, or a standard flat share?

If you are moving for a job then you are not a student..and 'south' doesn't tell anyone where in the country you are looking..where ever that is you are not looking for student accomodation as it is very different to residential renting and completely different housing laws..so you will be looking for a cheap B&B or Airbnb to move to enable you to start your job and once there you will need to register with letting agents, look for local landlord offering fully furnished and HMO accomodation

If you've got the money and a good credit score along with a guarantor, you shouldn't have a problem.
And if you happen to fall short on time, you can still rent an apartment or room for a few nights until you get your place.
