Alternate ways to navigate a smart tv. Has no wifi?

I have a 3d lg tv 55 inch. Needs an update but has no internet connection, and most/all the buttons I have to work with aren't navigating the tv. Is there another way I can navigate to get update?

Many TVs can be updated 

by downloading data onto a USB memory stick 

and then connecting that to the TV.     

        

Read The Manual for your TV 

or visit the manufacturer's site 

to find out the rest. 

                

When doing an update this way, it is VITAL   

that you use a NEW, Empty USB drive  

and Do Not allow Anything but the update to be stored on it.    

             

Once the TV is successfully updated, 

the drive could be used for something else, 

but I would save it for future TV updates.

You can hook the TV up to the DC wall outlet, and then push the power button to turn it on. There's buttons on it that control the changing of the channels, as well as the volume.

The update is available only through the internet, so there's no work-around if the smart TV is not connected to the internet.

They're not terribly heavy. Is there a place you can move it to where it can be online temporarily?
