Can you be adopted at age 30?

My dad died when I was 19 and I have PtSD, schzioaffective disorder, and anxiety. I feel vulnerable a lot and could use a dad figure in my life. I'll be 30 on Saturday, am I too old to be adopted?

    In the United States, yes.

Adult adoptions typically occur between people with existing relationships - a step father adopting his step child after he or she becomes an adult, or a family adopting a foster child.

Search [your state] code, then word search adoption, then find adult adoption. (Ah's a jean-yus.)
