What's wrong with being born with a silver spoon in my mouth?

I am 40 and work as a personal trainer.  I live off my parents a lot.  I live in a 2/2 condo that my parents bought for me.  They pay the HOA, property taxes, utilities, my phone, and they also pay for me to travel.

I don't make a lot of money, but my income is pretty much all discretionary.  I work 30 hours per week - just enough to get benefits.  I don't need or want to work 40 hours per week.  I like to have enough time to work out every day, watch TV, and go to the bars.Society seems to have stigmatized my lifestyle.  It seems to disdain people who don't have to work their lives away.  But my lifestyle doesn't adversely affect anyone.  My parents fund my lifestyle willingly.  I'm aware that I CAN be fully independent, but if I can get away with not doing so, why should I?  I like living this way.  Sure, I could do more with more money, but I do just fine.

So why do people complain about people like me?  Is it jealousy?

I would use the word envy rather than jealousy.

Jealousy is what makes other folks think you’re bad zxjqp
