Biology - Simpson Diversity Index ?

Question

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, I keep getting a high answer... help will be appreciated.

 

I have 5 species 

1. has 1 population #

2. has 1 pop #

3. has 2 pop #

4. has 1 pop #

5. has 4 pop #

I'm using D= 1- {n(n-1)/N(N-1)

= 1- {4(4-1) + 2(2-1) +1(-1)+1(-1)+1(-1)/9(9-1)

=1-12.4444444444
