Why don't bad teams sign Colin Kaepernick?

If he's so bad, doesn't that get you a higher draft pick?

Will fans in the empty stands boycott?

Update:

So what?

Rateings on TV are very low.Theone thing the NFL isn't going to do now is sign this guy even if he offered to play for free.

Krappernick wasn't very good when he was playing. Yeah, he had a good run for about 4 or 5 games but was garbage after that. Now he's well past his prime and out of the league for several years. I doubt he's good enough to win a job even as a back up at this point.

Also, his salary demands are absurd.

So, you've got a guy who isn't good enough to make the NFL and is a team cancer and marketing nightmare making outrageous salary demands and you wonder why he doesn't have a job?

Kaepernick doesn't ACTUALLY want to play.  The Seahawks tried to sign him and HE is the one that ruined it.  The two minor league teams that started recently both sniffed around Kaepernick and he made outlandish salary demands that basically amount to saying "I don't want to play."

Here's the thing, Kaepernick makes MORE money as the martyr who was blackballed from the league than he would playing.  Nike signed him to HUGE money.  If he goes back into the league and stinks, he probably doesn't get another deal.  But if he can stay a social justice figure, he has a good chance.

If your argument is “Kaepernick led the 49ers to the Super Bowl”, the QB starting for the team that beat them was Joe Flacco. So, even the worst QB starting for the worst NFL team is better than Kaepernick, and gives the Jets a better chance of winning at least one game.

Bad teams are already set.....with their bad QBs.

Why should they risk improving with Kaep.......and ruin their draft.....

Imo, you should write to all 32 teams, ask them.

Because they do nor want him. They want someone younger and better than he is.

There are too many young quarterbacks finishing college every year willing to sign for thousands. While Kap probably wants millions and to start to go along with his negative attention. Just guessing.

Actually, my best guess is that Colin Kaepernick probably developed a poor work ethic toward the end of his time with the San Francisco 49ers. However, if Kaepernick rededicates himself to work hard and perform very well in practice every day, he will great improve his chances of getting signed to play for an NFL in the future.

    It's their loss --

People often forget he was a big part in the 49ers getting to a Super Bowl.

He has been out of the game for too long.
