Santa was Saint Nicholas of Myra he was a turkish bishop who died hundreds of years ago , so yes he was white

its wrong for society to even put Santa has a mainstream figure for christmas
kids shouldn't be taught Christmas tales anymore. Christmas is commercialization

It is what it is and we should stop challenging all concepts on the flimsy basis that we might upset someone. If we do not History might just as well be burnt
and we will have nothing to debate but the weather!

A very good question with all the stink about Cultural appropriation, it would seem that to claim otherwise would be something that is not PC.
While there is some debate about the cultural roots of Santa, none of the cultures proposed were other then white.
To me personally Santa is not of any specific race and he appears to others as they wish for him to appear.

The Santa mythos is based on St. Nicholas of Myra who was ethnically Greek. While there have been points in history when Mediterranean Europeans weren't considered "white", they are now. So yeah, by modern standards Santa would probably be white...although far more swarthy than presented by Hallmark.
