2 point sources vibrate in phase at the same frequency. They set up an interference pattern in which a point on the 2nd nodal line is 29.5cm?

from one source and 25cm from the other. The speed of the waves is 7.5cm/s.

    Nodal line = minima

    for second Nodal line

    total path difference = 3λ/2

    (29.5 -25) = 3λ/2

    λ = 3 cm

    a) wavelength = 3 cm

    b) f = v/λ = 7.5/3 = 2.5 Hz
