If i buy a new car does it come with plastic wrappers still?

I’ve known people to keep the plastic on the seats. Why ? To preserve them when you sell it. So to get another $50 in 3/4/5 years time , you put up with horrible uncomfortable plastic seats instead of the nice fabric or leather but came with. Stupid .

We purchased a new 1986 Volvo some years ago and requested the dealer leave ALL the plastic covers on the seats and some switch gear and forego the usual PDI.
PURPOSE ----- the car was on sale at a price we couldn't refuse. But we already had a car and the Volvo went into storage at the dealer's for a while.
When we licensed it they did the complete PDI that we'd already paid for.

No the dealer removes all plastic, (inside and out), attach the license plate brackets, attaches antennas as necessary and put away air pumps or first aid kits if so equipped, installs the floor mats (if so equipped), assembles owner manuals and puts them in the case.Source(s): "Pulled plastic" MANY times on new cars while working for a large car rental company.

Not unless you somehow managed to buy one in the condition the dealer got it in from the factory. Franchised dealers are usually forbidden by manufacturers from selling vehicles in that condition to anyone other than other franchised dealers.
Even then, it’s now uncommon to find plastic seat protectors on anything other than the driver’s seat.

Stephen F talking through his behind again. Sometimes the seats have plastic on if the car is being delivered but at the showroom they'd have it in a condition to drive away.
