I was on a first date with a guy and he offered to pay

I suggested we do rounds to make it fair

We both got a round of drinks so it was his turn again

When the waitress came over he looked at me angrily and said 'dont worry I've got enough pennies' 

But I'd bought the previous round so it was his round and I'd be getting the next one

It was embarrassing infront of the waitress

Why do you think he reacted like that?
