d) Ca (s) + HNO3 →

e) Ba (s) + Zn2+ (aq) →

I don't really understand how to use the tables.

    Use of the reactivity series table of metals:

    • The very reactive metals can react with water to form H₂ gas.

    • Metals above H can react with acids to form H₂ gas.

    • A more reactive metal can displace a less reactive metal from the solution of its salt.

    a) NAR

    b) NAR

    c) 2Al(s) + Cu²⁺(aq) → 2Al³⁺(aq) + 3Cu(s)

    d) Ca(s) + 2HNO₃(aq) → Ca(NO₃)₂(aq) + H₂(g)

        (provided the HNO₃ is very dilute.)

    e) Ba(s) + Zn²⁺(aq) → Ba²⁺(aq) + Zn(s)

        and: Ba(s) + 2H₂O(ℓ) → Ba(OH)₂(aq) + H₂(g)
