How do I get my 1 year old cat to stop getting in trouble ?

Question

I have a 1 year old indoor black cat who poops in places that is not his litterboxes. He is litterbox trained (he pees in litterboxes). 

Don't say I should put him outside because he will bring in fleas and he doesn't have the shot for outside. A lot of black cats get killed by cars for being black.

everytime he uses the litterbox and you are nearby give him a treat. AFter a while he may start behaving.

That’s going to be a problem your whole cats life. Cats can be annoying
