Replacing storm door?

The one we have is simple to remove. There are screws on both sides and the top. Remove those screws and with both hands grab each side and move away from the doorway. As we look for replacement doors some photos show screws only on one side, some we don't see screw holes at all. Yet to see one like ours for sale on Facebook or other site. Options for replacement?

Lowes has some doors that have screws on all three sides.

There are somethings we hire done and doors, windows and roofs are 3 of them.   There is too much variability in storm doors and there is little about them that is universal. So, each one is sort of custom and getting it adapted for that particular situation just requires someone knowledgeable of the options. So go to the door store, pay the money, get the good advice and get a door you will be happy with for the next 20 years and that does all it is supposed to do.   For example, you have no idea if the new door you would buy can be screwed into at the location of your existing hinge, or that you can hang it straight the first time. And the latch will not match your existing set up.  You may need a door and a frame, new trim, paint, etc.

most such doors come with the frame they fit into ... with some frames, the screws are visible and with others they are concealed by the door itself.  What you do is measure your opening and take measurement with you to the home improvement store -- the salesman will help you select an appropriate door.  you'll have to remove the existing frame before installing the new one

Just buy an Anderson (I just installed a roll-screen model 5600032E ) the screws are hidden by a strip that covers them - simple to install, a little pricey but a tight door when installed correctly. There are screws all the way around the frame and into the hinge side.

Likely the ones you see that have no screws.  Have screws just have a beauty strip that snaps on over screws an hides them.  Storm doors are pretty generic as long as you get right size.
