What is minimal earthing pits for 10 buildings with 8 flats each?

A 30 year old apartment block, 10 buildings with 80 flats. The earthing is intermittent and hence thinking of getting fresh earthing pits. With many tenants around, not sure of contribution from all. Thinking of having 2 pits, then connecting all with them. What's your take on it?

Look at the building codes.        .

Firstly, you need to comply with your local electrical regulations.

Pits?? For a total guess without knowing the area or regs, I'd think sectional rods driven to 5 - 10m or so depending on the soil type, with two of those at each building.

eg. This type of thing with joint sleeves.
