How to recover dell factory image?

So I deleted the recovery partiton that contains the factory stuff in it and I try to reinstall with the Dell os Recovery USB software but when I boot into the recovery thing the factory reimage thing is gone and I only have Reset and Update but I don't want that. My model is G5 15 5587.

I am guessing you have data you do not want to loose.

Well this means  that you need to install a hard drive for a boot drive. Then do the reset/update on it.

Then either install the old drive in the case or use a kit to make it an  external hard drive so you can access the files and transfer them to the new drive or just leave it as is.

If I understand what you wrote, you first deleted the recovery partition, then attempted recovery and found an empty partition - the one you just emptied. To me, it seems you shot yourself in the foot.
