Well before you actually move.  Especially in the current environment where employers in whatever area you are looking to move to likely have an abundance of people looking for work to choose from.

IF you have the qualifications - degrees, experience, etc. - to start applying for jobs elsewhere, start looking immediately, of course. It can take a year or more to find something - or you may be in demand & find some place which has an urgent need. Lower-level jobs require you reside locally, have reliable transportation, and you will have to have funds to support yourself while you hunt for work. What kind of work are you looking for, and what experience & other qualifications do you have for that?

You look, apply and get a job before you move otherwise you will not know where to move to and are unlikely to be able to rent a property without proof of income

Ideally, you want to have a job waiting for you when you get to your new location.

I'd start looking and applying before I moved.
