Why is it more taboo for a man to be gay than for a woman to be lesbian ?

Even when a man is masculine and dominant (top not bottom in the relationship) he is still more likely to be discriminated and looked down upon than a lesbian. Why do men get pressured to be straight whereas women can be straight, lesbian or bisexual and not get looked down upon as much.

I an frequently grateful that may not be a single heterosexual man alive, who isn't turned on by me kissing my GF.

It all comes down to heterosexual males.

Because men's sexuality is taken seriously. Women aren't accepted--they aren't believed or taken seriously. People don't believe lesbians are even real. They think women will always end up with men.

Because males are more perverted and promiscuous and a lot more immature as the data shows

Because it is a man's world . People care much more about men and what they do good, bad, or indifferent, than they do women.

Because men are the leaders of society

When men are gay, they give up that titleIf all men suddenly turned gay, then women would have to become masculine and dominant to make up for that. If women all turned gay, which is less likely...they would likely become bisexual  to reproduce.

Because straight men have anxieties about being perceived as gay but they find the idea of lesbian sex titillating (and we live in a world largely constructed by straight men).

2 main reasons. The first being masculinity being viewed as superior to femininity is still a huge thing when it comes to controlling males behaviour. All you’ve gotta do is wear something or have a certain hobby more commonly shared by females and “what are you gay or something?”. Selective homophobia. Whereas females could have a masculine career and butch look and it’s “taboo” to tell her to go back into the kitchen. Feminism only thinks about how femininity can benefit women.

The second being that lesbians are objectified and sexualised by heterosexual males, therefore females are at more liberty to experiment. Notice the only people who have an issue with lesbians are ultra conservative or religious? Meanwhile mostly everyone hates or subtly dislikes homosexual or even feminine males.
