Are the majority of Asian Americans immigrants ?

A genuine question. It seems like every Asian I’ve talked to, immigrated here. Or they were born in the US, but their parents are immigrants. I think it’s cool.

Even based on your own anecdotal claims at least some of the people you talked to weren't immigrants. One isn't an immigrant just because their parents immigrated.

For obvious reasons, Asians aren't native to the US. So (like the Europeans a few generations ago) they originally migrated to the US. Just like the European immigrants, they're often now US citizens, and may have been for a couple of generations.
